New Defender's Study Bible Notes
114:3 fled. The inspired writer confirms in this verse the miracle at the Red Sea and (forty years later) at Jordan.
114:4 skipped like rams. Although there is no specific mention of earthquakes in Joshua or Judges, they may well have been associated providentially with the damming of the Jordan River, the collapse of Jericho’s walls, or other great miracles recorded in these books.
114:8 fountain of waters. The Scriptures repeatedly confirm God’s miraculous provision of water for His people during their forty years in the wilderness (Deuteronomy 8:15; I Corinthians 10:4; Psalm 78:16).
