“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:9 –11)
At Christmas time, Christians pause and reflect on the greatest truth the world will ever know: Jesus Christ is Lord. Long before the manger in Bethlehem, He stood exalted above all creation. Yet, He humbly entered this world, revealing His power, love, mercy, and purpose for mankind.
This truth stands at the very center of every one of our efforts at the Institute for Creation Research. Our mission begins with a clear and unwavering commitment to glorify Jesus Christ by giving Him the credit He is due as Creator. From scientific research and educational resources to outreach efforts around the world, ICR exists to lift high Jesus, through whom “all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him” (Colossians 1:16) and who gave Himself for our redemption.
Christmas reminds us that the eternal Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Letters from all over the world testify that ICR’s work provides believers with confidence in the authority of God’s Word, from Genesis to Revelation, and the power of Jesus in the life of a solitary Christian or to the largest of churches. For instance, ICR’s geologic borehole research shows some of the same rock layers in the same relative order on every continent. This is powerful evidence for the worldwide Flood that the Bible teaches. This work is labor intensive and expensive, but it is urgent in a culture increasingly misled about the foundational doctrine of creation.
Research has always been ICR’s core mission. Our scientists continue to provide better scientific explanations consistent with Scripture for biologic and geologic phenomena while also challenging evolutionary assumptions. Our educational publications and outreach events equip pastors, parents, and educators with tools to clearly communicate biblical creation. At the same time, ICR’s digital media is reaching audiences who may never step inside a church but are searching for answers to life’s important questions.
This vital work is only possible through the prayers and financial generosity of faithful supporters who share our conviction that truth matters and the Bible can be trusted. When you stand with ICR, you stand on the front lines of a spiritual battle.
Here are several ways that you can make a meaningful impact today:
- A one-time year-end gift to help ICR set up research projects for 2026
- A recurring monthly gift to sustain ICR’s vital ministry throughout the year
- a gift of stock, IRA distribution, or Donor-Advised Fund grant, which may also provide tax benefits
During this Christmas season, celebrate with us the greatest gift ever given: the Lord Jesus Himself. We are deeply grateful for the partners who help us proclaim His name boldly and faithfully. Your support allows ICR to continue serving the Church, strengthening believers, and calling the lost to be reconciled with their Creator.
May this Christmas renew your heart, and the hearts of your loved ones with awe and gratitude for the Gift greater than any we could ever give or receive. And may the name of the Lord Jesus, whose name is above every name, guard your hearts with His peace and strengthen you for the year ahead.
