29:1 blowing the trumpets. Of the seven “feasts of the LORD” (Leviticus 23:2) that had been ordained by God, only the final three are mentioned here. On the feast of trumpets, see notes on Leviticus 23:4,24. Also note Numbers 10:10.
29:11 sin-offering of atonement. See notes on Leviticus 23:4,27, related to the feast of the day of atonement. Also see Leviticus 16 and the notes on Leviticus 16:7,34.
29:12 feast unto the LORD. This is the feast of tabernacles as established in Leviticus 23:34. The details of the eight days of offerings accompanying this final feast, only mentioned in Leviticus 23:36-38, are given here in Numbers 29:13-38.
