New Defender's Study Bible Notes

16:21 weight of a talent. These stones are not ice, but boulders of rock (Greek lithinos), each weighing one hundred pounds or more, probably spread across the sky by global volcanic eruptions accompanying the global earthquake. It is possible that these are the “feet” in God’s great winepress, trampling the multitudes at Armageddon (Revelation 14:20).
