“. . . Espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. . .” (Luke 1:27).

“Nevertheless He left not Himself without witness, in that He did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness” (Acts 14:17).

“The church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you; and so doth Marcus my son” (I Peter 5:13).

“Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?” (John 8:57).

“These words spake Jesus, and lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee” (John 17:1).

These words, spoken by the Lord just prior to His crucifixion and most likely in the Upper Room, seem almost to beckon us to look “to heaven” with Christ.
