As Grasshoppers

“And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight” (Numbers 13:33).

One Thing

“One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in His temple” (Psalm 27:4).

Pattern Of Longsuffering

“Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all longsuffering for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on Him to life everlasting” (I Timothy 1:16).

The Only Savior

“Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no Savior beside me” (Hosea 13:4).

Mercy Not Merit

“It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not” (Lamentations 3:22).

When a Christian comes to the place in his life when he realizes he has committed grievous sin, there is no greater comfort than the Scriptures.
