God's Word
Should we really trust the Bible? Its 66 books develop the same themes such as how humans are wicked but can know a holy God by His grace. With no mistakes or contradictions, it records what eyewitnesses saw when specific prophecies were precisely fulfilled. Scripture passes our tests and answers our deepest needs.

Genesis Compromise Unravels the Bible
Christians who accept millions of years of Earth history may be unaware of the inconsistency of their position. On one hand, they profess to believe the Bible, but on the other they fail to accept Genesis 1–2 as written....Unfortunately, accepting an old earth logically undermines the entire Bible.
The Gospel Starts with Creation
The opening words of Scripture are fairly simple: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). Why is there often pushback on this truth among Christians? It’s not surprising in the academic world, where anything that resembles “God” is denigrated out-of-hand....But what about evangelical churches? Many insist that they believe the Bible and yet either avoid dealing with the foundational message of a recent creation or brush the topic away like a pesky doctrine that doesn’t matter.
Animal Death Before the Fall?
Both the Old and New Testaments teach that death entered the world when Adam ate the forbidden fruit (e.g., Genesis 2:17 and Romans 5:12). Since fossils are the preserved remains of dead animals, Christians who believe these fossils are millions of years old claim animal death existed prior to Adam’s sin. They say the Bible allows for this possibility, since neither Genesis 2:17 nor Romans 5:1 specifically mentions animal death.
Back to Genesis
The greatest Bible teacher of all time was the Lord Jesus Christ, and when He wanted to teach His friends about Himself and His great plan for the world, He began by teaching them the book of Genesis. That is one reason why we at the Institute for Creation Research have placed so much emphasis on this particular book, especially its early chapters with their record of creation, the Fall, and the Flood.
