Bridge Builders - Fort Worth, TX

Join an ICR Scientist, as he shares on the incredible research we are doing towards developing a new theory of biological design using our model creature, the Astyanax mexicanus. 9:30 a.m. Astyanax mexicanus: A Divinely Engineered Exemplar of Organism-Driven Adaptation All organisms were created with the capacity to continuously track the conditions in their environments and self-adjust to those conditions on multiple scales. We model this process as the mechanism of biological adaptation. This presentation will provide examples of organism-driven adaptations that compensate for loss of vision in the blind cavefish of Astyanax mexicanus (Mexican tetra). This work is currently under investigation in the Science Department at the Institute for Creation Research.
