A Little Book with a Big Plan

Are you tired of reading dinosaur books to your kids while trying to filter the evolutionary worldview? ICR just published a new children’s book written by geologist Dr. Tim Clarey and his wife, Reneé. Big Plans for Henry follows the journey of a young duck-bill dinosaur through the pre-Flood world. In addition to the cute, touching, and educational story, the pages are sprinkled with science and Bible fact boxes that provide fascinating details about dinosaurs, fossils, and Noah’s Ark. Parents can also reference a back page titled “Flood Facts” that will help them answer common questions about the Bible’s Flood account.

Dr. Clarey taught university classes on dinosaurs, participated in fossil digs that included duck-bill dino discoveries, and has enjoyed speaking to audiences about how dinosaurs fit with the biblical record. Reneé taught children at the preschool and early elementary levels for over 20 years. Both were inspired to write a children’s storybook that parents, grandparents, and teachers could use to introduce children to a biblical understanding of dinosaurs.

Big Plans for Henry is ICR’s fourth children’s book published in recent years. The first three are in the Science for Kids series: Dinosaurs: God’s Mysterious Creatures, Space: God’s Majestic Handiwork, and Animals by Design: Exploring Unique Creature Features.
