On one occasion, the disciples of Jesus were afraid that they were about to die in a violent storm on Lake Galilee, and He rebuked them in these words: "Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?" (Mark 4:40).

One of the most amazing of the "I am" claims of the Lord Jesus Christ is found in John 6:35:

I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Whether or not they recognize it officially in a pledge of allegiance or some other way, the fact is that all nations are "under God." They were formed by God in the first place, are being evaluated by Him, and eventually have been or will be judged by Him.

Earlier this year House Bill 481 was submitted to the Ohio State Assembly. The bill addresses the issue of teaching "origins science" in the Ohio public schools. The carefully crafted bill scrupulously follows the intent of recent Supreme Court decisions and attempts to implement the 2002 U.S. Education Bill, specifically its Santorum Amendment.

Quoting directly from HB 481:

One of the most amazing statements ever made was the assertion of Jesus Christ in the temple in Jerusalem one early morning long ago, speaking to a group of bigoted religionists who were seeking an excuse to condemn Him. This claim should immediately have branded Him as either a raving lunatic or a conniving charlatan—or—(could it conceivably be true?) as the very Son of God Himself!
