At this Thanksgiving season, it has been good for me to think back over the countless blessings from God on the ICR ministries in our earlier days. From extremely small and unimpressive beginnings in 1970, it does seem that God may have called ICR "to the kingdom for such a time as this" (Esther 4:14).

Without question, "technology" has now become the new magic word in place of the word "science." Since technology represents the practical applications of science, it is clearly consumer-oriented. Herein is bright economic promise to all who can provide technology.

Someone once asked me how we should approach those from totally different cultures who were coming to live in the culture we have grown up in. Should we urge them to capitulate totally to our own cultural ways or should we encourage them to maintain all of their own cultural distinctions as they live within our culture? How should we approach this issue?

In the early 1800s, William Paley published a carefully argued paper entitled "Natural Theology," which developed a convincing case for the necessity of a Designer to produce the intricate design we see in living systems.
