Elisha's Bears

"And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD.

The Days of Yore

"For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?" (Deuteronomy 4:32)

How Christ Learned Obedience

"Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered." (Hebrews 5:8)

The Self Life

"O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?" (Romans 7:24)

Disciples and Servants

"The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord." (Matthew 10:24)

Note the two-fold relation of the believer to the Lord Jesus Christ expressed in this verse. We are His disciples and servants; He is our Master and Lord. Each of the two relationships is vital. The word for "disciple" means "pupil."
