Dr. Boyle earned a Ph.D. in zoology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2010. He is a marine biologist specializing in the developmental biology of marine invertebrates, with a focus on molecular, genetic, and microscopical approaches. His research career includes postdoctoral fellowships at the Smithsonian Marine Station in Florida and the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama. From 2015 to 2022 he led the Life Histories Program as a Principal Investigator at the Smithsonian Marine Station. Dr. Boyle joined the Institute for Creation Research in 2022 as a research scientist and oversees the biology, molecular biology, and microscopy laboratories. He has authored over 35 peer-reviewed publications, contributed to several scientific books, and serves as editor of the upcoming Atlas of Marine Invertebrate Larvae, 2nd edition (2025).
