Dr. Gabriela Haynes earned her master of geology/paleontology from the Universidade Federal do Ceará, Brazil, in 2012. During her graduate studies, she conducted specialized research on fossil insects at the American Museum of Natural History in New York. She completed her doctorate in 2017 through a joint program between the Universidade Federal do Ceará and the University of Kentucky, focusing her research on Hymenoptera (ants, bees, and wasps). Since completing her Ph.D., Dr. Haynes has served as an impactful researcher, writer, and speaker within the field of creation science. Her published work frequently explores the relationship between birds and dinosaurs, and she has been instrumental in developing creation-based educational materials in Brazil. In 2025, Dr. Haynes joined the Institute for Creation Research (ICR) as a research scientist. Her current work primarily focuses on paleontology and the development of the Flood model.
