It is probable, in light of Peter’s statement in Acts 1:21,22 (along with Matthew 3:13; Luke 1:17; and Acts 10:37) that not only these two disciples but all of those who soon comprised the twelve disciples of Christ had first been won, baptized, and trained as John’s disciples before he directed them to Christ.
