41:4 most holy place. In both the wilderness tabernacle and Solomon’s temple, the Ark of the Covenant was set in the most holy place. There is no mention of its presence in the future millennial temple, however. The indication in Revelation 11:19 (see note) is that it was carried to heaven when Nebuchadnezzar destroyed that first temple (also see note on II Chronicles 36:18).
