Vernon R. Cupps believed that God created the universe and that Darwinian evolution was inconsistent with the Bible and science since he was young. But he didn’t give much consideration to a recent creation of the universe until about a decade ago.

"Dr. Clarey rocks!…[He] makes the subject easy to understand, shows a great knowledge, and is an overall amazing professor!” The sentiments expressed by this former student at Delta College in Michigan, where Dr. Timothy Clarey taught geology for 17 years, are echoed by other students. Dr. Clarey knew how to communicate sometimes difficult material to his college students.

The creation science movement has lost a stalwart champion. Dr. Duane Gish, longtime defender of creation truth, went home to be with his Savior on March 6, 2013. A memorial service was held for Dr. Gish on April 6 at Shadow Mountain Community Church in El Cajon, California.
