"By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh" (Hebrews 11:4).

"But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased Him, and to every seed his own body" (I Corinthians 15:38).

In this verse is a remarkable confirmation of one of the fundamental concepts of biology-the cell theory. Each "seed" (essentially a fertilized egg) has the potential to become a unique body.

"And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?" (John 7:15).

"Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation: But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand" (Romans 15:20-21).

"A wise son heareth his father's instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke" (Proverbs 13:1).

In this couplet resides the summary of everyday experience; the person who listens to counsel benefits, while the resistant one spurns potential blessing.
