Born To Die
“For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give His life a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45).
Especially as noted in the gospel of John, Christ identified many reasons why He had been born. Consider the following samplings of verses and references.
Ye Or Thee
“But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly” (Matthew 6:6).
Can Christian High-School Students Survive Public School?
By now it should be obvious to every parent that the public school system does not exist to deepen the spiritual life of the Christian young person. While many individual teachers and the occasional local school board and administration are sympathetic, the national and state teachers' organizations and curriculum writers all have an aggressive and very liberal political agenda.
The Aroma
“Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savor” (Ephesians 5:1,2).
Father, Abba, Father
“. . . They are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father” (Romans 8:14,15).
Charles Wesley’s great hymn, Arise, My Soul, Arise concludes in the fifth verse with a stirring testimony of the joy of salvation.
