One of the attributes of God is that He is longsuffering. At least ten times in the Bible He is said to be longsuffering, plus at least six times when He is described as slow to anger.

“O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker” (Psalm 95:6).

“Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven” (Acts 1:11).
