“Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law” (Psalm 119:18).

“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another” (John 13:34).

“The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord” (Matthew 10:24).

Note the two-fold relation of the believer to the Lord Jesus Christ expressed in this verse. We are His disciples and servants; He is our Master and Lord. Each of the two relationships is vital.

“For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled” (Matthew 5:18).

“(Wisdom) is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her” (Proverbs 3:18).
