“Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy” (I Chronicles 29:9).

“For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath He sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of His eye” (Zechariah 2:8).

“We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which thou commandedst thy servant Moses” (Nehemiah 1:7).

The Work of Redemption

“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness” (I Corinthians 3:19).

When someone falls for an “April fool” joke or prank, he does feel very “foolish” for a moment or two. But those who fall for “the wisdom of this world,” and build their lives on it, will spend all eternity regretting such a foolish choice.
