As a child growing up in San Diego, I learned early on that my grandfather, Henry M. Morris, was a great man. Not a good man, mind you…but a truly great and remarkable man, uniquely gifted by God to perform a special work for His Kingdom. At the time, I was unaware of the many books he had written, the multitudes who had heard him speak, or even the early formation of ICR.

The Lord has been good to the ministry of the Institute for Creation Research. Over the last four decades, God has graciously increased the scope and influence of the ministry to truly global proportions, marvelously providing for our needs along the way (Philippians 4:19).

The late pastor and prolific author A.W. Tozer once wrote:

It is an indispensable fact of human existence that we are not self-sufficient beings. Our lives depend on procuring and consuming sufficient food and water, and our bodies are often ill-equipped to cope with our environment without adequate covering and protection. It is little wonder, then, that food, clothing, and shelter are commonly referred to as the basic necessities of life.
