There are countless interconnected, precise, and non-coincidental features of Earth that directly contribute to our planet’s ability to sustain life. One such phenomenon is that of Earth’s ultraviolet shield called the atmosphere.

It is hard to identify the behavior of creatures just from their fossils. An international team of paleontologists tried just that on a big group of dinosaur fossils from Argentina. Their Mussaurus specimens included developmental stages from egg through juveniles to adults. Clues from the 100 eggs and 80 specimens suggested to this team that these dinosaurs had social behaviors.

Three long ice cores have been drilled and extracted from the East Antarctic ice sheet: the EPICA Dome C, Vostok, and Dome Fuji cores. Secular scientists have assigned ages to the bottoms of these cores: 800 thousand, 400 thousand, and 720 thousand years, respectively.

A team of evolutionary scientists from the U.S., China, and Canada recently found a complete tiny crab in amber.¹ Publishing in Science Advances, the team determined that the specimen was a member of Eubrachyura, a category of “true crabs” based on living animals.
