Grand Canyon has a special place in my heart. I have spent a lot of time there, both on research trips and the ICR Grand Canyon Tours. To me, Grand Canyon is a clear testimony to the Biblical flood and the young earth.

Recently a reporter from a major international newspaper came to ICR to research a story on the influence of creation thinking on society. At his request, I guided him through the ICR museum. His interest was perked at the display on abortion, which showed the marvelous design of the unborn baby and how abortion is based on an evolutionary concept.

Darwin's book Origin of Species, published in 1859, proposed the concept of evolution by purely naturalistic causes, especially natural selection. His idea was that the small variations observed within a population of plants or animals would lead to large changes, given a fortuitous environmental change which favored the variant's opportunity for survival and reproduction.

As often I am able, I like to visit museums. In the larger ones, there is always something to learn, while often in smaller museums unique exhibits are found, displaying some fascinating local artifact or fossil. A Christian should never be afraid of facts, nor should he be afraid to modify previously held positions if the facts warrant.
