My Glory

“O GOD, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory” (Psalm 108:1).

This seems a somewhat strange expression. A similar statement is found in Psalm 30:12. “To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent.” Also, note Psalm 57:8: “Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp.”

Questions About Creation

“Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding” (Job 38:4).

Inherit The Wind

“He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart” (Proverbs 11:29).

The Eternal Cosmos

“He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: He hath made a decree which shall not pass” (Psalm 148:6).

Grazing the Mailing Lists

Probably most of our readers experience the same problem that I do every day. Each day's mail—both at home and at the office—brings a goodly number of urgently worded solicitations for donations. These are generally about equally divided between political causes, religious causes, and charitable causes.

The telephone also brings several solicitations each week.
