ICR Legacy: Marlo Sherman

Marlo Sherman's journey from Earth Day environmentalist to Christian worldview advocate and supporter of ICR is a heartfelt testament to the power of faith and discovery. Growing up with the Bible taught in public school, Marlo has seen these values fade over time, making ICR's mission more crucial than ever.
 
In her early career at the Department of Interior, Marlo struggled to reconcile her faith with her post-graduate education. "I believed the Bible, but I had all this secular education. I thought, my goodness gracious, we've got to save the water, save the air, save the trees."
 
Her journey took a pivotal turn when her son began asking profound questions about faith and science. "Roger and I prayed and asked the Lord for resources to know how to answer these questions," she shares. Their search led them to transformative ICR conferences and resources like The Genesis Record and The Genesis Flood. "My worldview was becoming more in line with the Bible."
 
Visiting the ICR Discovery Center was a “dream come true” for Marlo. "To be able to put hands on and see this, it's very special to me.”
 
Marlo passionately speaks about the impact of her faith-driven scientific understanding. "God's put science all around us. Your whole natural order is a testimony to God's existence, His wisdom, His mercy." Marlo’s legacy is more than just financial support; it's a life dedicated to bridging faith and science, inspiring others to embrace a deeper understanding of biblical creation.
