Dr. Marcos Eberlin was influenced early in his career by the foundational work of Dr. Henry M. Morris, recognizing that evolutionary theory and uniformitarian geology could not be reconciled with the biblical creation account. Dr. Eberlin earned his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in Brazil, where he taught as a full professor. He is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences and is ranked as a Commander in the Brazilian National Order of Scientific Merit. Following postdoctoral research at Purdue University, Dr. Eberlin founded UNICAMP’s internationally recognized ThoMSon Mass Spectrometry Laboratory and directed it for 25 years. He currently serves as president of the Brazilian Society for Mass Spectrometry and hosts the Discussing Science with the Eberlins podcast. At ICR, he coordinates the ThoMSon Laboratory for Creation Mass Spectrometry.
