And the sons of Joseph, which were born him in Egypt, were two souls: all the souls of the house of Jacob, which came into Egypt, were threescore and ten.

New Defender's Study Bible Notes

46:27 threescore and ten. “The souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, which came out of his loins” are said to total sixty-six, whereas the totals as given for his four wives (Genesis 46:15,18,22,25) add to seventy. These, however, include Joseph and his two sons (Genesis 46:19-20), accounting for sixty-nine. Since Jacob himself is included in the seventy of this verse, there was probably an unnamed daughter of Leah (Genesis 46:15 mentions “daughters,” but only Dinah is named) who died on the trek into Egypt, or soon after. Thus the total stands at seventy, as indicated in Genesis 46:27.
