“Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.” (Exodus 20:16)
No Stealing
“Thou shalt not steal.” (Exodus 20:15)
No Adultery
“Thou shalt not commit adultery.” (Exodus 20:14)
This commandment’s obvious application is for marital fidelity. God created one man and one woman for that man (Genesis 1:26; 2:18; 1 Corinthians 11:9).
No Murder
“Thou shalt not kill.” (Exodus 20:13)
Honoring Parents
“Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.” (Exodus 20:12)
