The Circle of the Earth
“It is He that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in” (Isaiah 40:22).
This Is The Day
“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24).
This familiar verse is often quoted, or sung, on the Lord’s Day, or perhaps some other special day. In context, however, it refers to the day on which the Lord’s people would see Him and cry out in joy: “Blessed be He that cometh in the name of the LORD” (Psalm 118:26).
Showers Of Blessing
“And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing” (Ezekiel 34:26).
Habitation For God
“Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob. Lo, we heard of it at Ephrata: we found it in the fields of the wood. We will go into His tabernacles: we will worship at His footstool” (Psalm 132:5-7).
The Flesh And The Spirit
“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh” (Galatians 5:16).
