“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him” (Ephesians 1:17).

This is one of Paul’s most personal and precious prayers involving all the persons of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit is called “the Spirit of wisdom,” and the Father is called the “Father of glory.”

“The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings” (Nahum 2:4).

“And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto Him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?” (Luke 24:18).

“For it was of the LORD to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that He might destroy them utterly, and that they might have no favor, but that He might destroy them, as the LORD commanded Moses” (Joshua 11:20).

“I delight to do thy will, 0 my God: yea, thy law is within my heart” (Psalm 40:8).
