“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness” (I Corinthians 3:19).

When someone falls for an “April fool” joke or prank, he does feel very “foolish” for a moment or two. But those who fall for “the wisdom of this world,” and build their lives on it, will spend all eternity regretting such a foolish choice.

The Work of Redemption

“He is the Rock, His work is perfect; for all His ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is He” (Deuteronomy 32:4).

“Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified” (Psalm 70:4).

“Hearken therefore unto the supplications of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, which they shall make toward this place: hear thou from thy dwelling place, even from heaven; and when thou hearest, forgive” (II Chronicles 6:21).
