Our Personal War
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh” (II Corinthians 10:3).
Faint Not
“For consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds” (Hebrews 12:3).
The Christian life and ministry can grow wearisome and hard at times, but with Christ Himself as our example, the Lord admonishes us not to faint, but always to press on.
What Paul Knew
“And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know” (I Corinthians 8:2).
There are many things which none of us can know—not even the Apostle Paul. Yet even with his realistic modesty, there are certain key truths which Paul could affirm with certainty, and so can we on the same grounds as he.
Be Diligent
“And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge” (II Peter 1:5).
Firstfruits
“Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase” (Proverbs 3:9).
