Liberals commonly question the authority of the Scriptures on the assumption that they were based on ancient traditions.

"And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts" (Galatians 5:24).

"Then saith He unto His disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few" (Matthew 9:37).

"Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel" (Amos 4:12).

"By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith" (Hebrews 11:7).
