The Strategy of the Morris Center
Our Strategy
The Henry M. Morris Center for Christian Leadership has developed a ministry strategy that will:
- Utilize new distance-education platforms for graduate degrees and professional development.
In a two-phase effort, ICR has developed an online Master of Science degree in Science Education and the non-degree Creationist Worldview professional development program. These web-based programs of study will allow graduate and professional students to complete coursework and degrees while maintaining academic, career, and family responsibilities elsewhere.
- Develop leadership training conferences and seminars targeting the various needs of men and women who desire a more active role in modeling and communicating a biblical worldview.
Multi-day conferences and one-day seminars will be held at the new Morris Center to equip Christian leaders in areas crucial to the understanding and application of biblical worldview issues in our culture. CEU (Continuing Education Unit) credits will be offered to professionals seeking to maintain or advance their knowledge base within their fields.
- Establish a new educational coalition of Christian liberal arts schools committed to biblical creationism and inerrancy.
The new Morris Center will spearhead an initiative called CLAS (Coalition of Christian Liberal Arts Schools), gathering the presidents, deans, and/or provosts of leading Christian universities that are unashamedly holding fast to a thoroughly biblical view of the Scriptures.
- Expand ICR’s internet outreach for effective dissemination of scientific and biblical research.
The knowledge base of over 35 years of research and publication has poised ICR to offer a wealth of scientific and biblical information to students, scientists, Christian lay leaders, and even non-believers seeking evidence in creation science. ICR’s web portal, www.icr.org, will be redesigned and enhanced to provide visitors up-to-date information about creation science issues, as well as thousands of pages of archival research publications.
