39:4 measure of my days. David, who “died in a good old age” (I Chronicles 29:28), considered his “days as an handbreadth” (Psalm 39:5). Moses, who lived to age 120 (Deuteronomy 34:7), considered his age “as a tale that is told” (Psalm 90:9). See notes on Psalm 90:4,10,12.
