Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will stretch out mine hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethims, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.
 

25:16 upon the Philistines. The Philistines had been cruel enemies of Israel and Judah for many centuries, but Ezekiel prophesied their eventual destruction. Nebuchadnezzar invaded and conquered Philistia in the same campaign which finally destroyed Jerusalem.
