And there was trembling in the host, in the field, and among all the people: the garrison, and the spoilers, they also trembled, and the earth quaked: so it was a very great trembling.
 

14:15 the earth quaked. An earthquake was apparently timed by God in answer to Jonathan’s faith, causing enough fear and confusion in the Philistine garrison to enable Jonathan and his armor-bearer to destroy them—partly because the Philistine warriors also began fighting each other.
