Although the husband and wife have been created for very specific roles in the family, the church and society in general, and although neither will find real fulfillment in life if they rebel against those roles, they must always remember that spiritually they are equals before God. Both were created “in the image of God” (Genesis 1:27), and are “heirs together” of God’s grace.

3:7 prayers be not hindered. It is noteworthy that one important reason for unanswered prayer may be wrong home relationships.
