God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.

New Defender's Study Bible Notes

108:7 I will rejoice. These words, spoken by God, show that God delights in giving victory to His people. The enemies mentioned in Psalm 108:7-10 were specifically enemies of Israel and David, but may well be regarded as typical of the enemies of the people of God in any age. Regardless of their number or strength, we have God’s assurance that He will, in His own time, “tread down our enemies” (Psalm 108:13).
