Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days' pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me.
New Defender's Study Bible Notes
24:13 seven years of famine. This statement of God’s seems to conflict with the “three years of famine” offered by God in I Chronicles 21:12. One explanation for this apparent discrepancy is that one represents a copyist’s error. It may also be that the proposals were made by God on two different occasions.
