New Defender's Study Bible Notes
94:1 to whom vengeance belongeth. There is a difference between revenge and vengeance. Revenge is an act of passion, vengeance an act of justice. True justice can be rendered only by the Lord. Note Romans 12:19.
94:3 how long. The heart-cry, “How long?” occurs often in Scripture, about eighteen times in the book of Psalms alone. The Lord indeed is long-suffering, “not willing that any should perish” (II Peter 3:9), but He is also just and eventually the unrepentant and unbelieving will indeed be cut off (Psalm 94:23).
94:9 formed the eye. Such rhetorical questions merely show that the contentions of evolutionism, which suppose that random processes could produce complex systems, are impossible to prove.
94:10 teacheth man knowledge. The remarkable ability of man to assimilate knowledge and to utilize it in producing yet more knowledge, as well as systems and products of great variety and complexity, requires a cause adequate to explain it. Unthinking atoms could never evolve into intricate thought systems. Only an omniscient God can explain even the existence of knowledge.
