David's Psalm of praise. I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.

145:1 for ever and ever. The five doxology psalms, ending respectively the five Books in the Psalms (Psalms 41, 72, 89, 106, 145), contain a total of 153 verses, with the final verse (the doxology) in each psalm speaking of the eternal blessedness of the redeemed with the Lord.
