About the program:
Thirty years ago, on July 16, 1969, Apollo 11 was launched. Four days later, man was walking on the moon. And although it took just a small step for the astronauts, what brought them there were many steps and leaps and bounds of scientists and engineers who carefully planned and tested new ideas along the way.
