And every oblation of thy meat offering shalt thou season with salt; neither shalt thou suffer the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meat offering: with all thine offerings thou shalt offer salt.
 

2:13 season with salt. As leaven and honey were to be excluded from the meal offering, symbolizing evil and corruption as they do, so the offering was to be seasoned with salt, symbolizing purity and preservation. All offerings were to picture Christ and his sinlessness.
