Even after the fulfillment of all Jeremiah’s prophetic warnings, along with the death of Jehoiakim and deportation of Jeconiah, the puppet-king Zedekiah, along with all his servants, still rejected the words of God. Jeremiah continued to prophesy, and his persecutions and prophecies during this difficult period constitute Part III of his book (Jeremiah 37–39).
