For thus saith the LORD touching Shallum the son of Josiah king of Judah, which reigned instead of Josiah his father, which went forth out of this place; He shall not return thither any more:
 

22:11 Shallum the son of Josiah. Shallum is actually the name assigned to Jehoahaz, the fourth son of Josiah (note I Chronicles 3:15). He occupied the throne only three months before he was taken prisoner to Egypt (II Chronicles 36:1-4; II Kings 23:31-34). Shallum means “Retribution.”
