19:6 Hinnom. Jeremiah 19:6 is essentially the same as Jeremiah 7:32. For its significance, see notes on Jeremiah 7:31. Also, the context here (Jeremiah 19:3-13) makes it very clear why God hates pagan idolatry, especially when His own people become involved in it, and why the Hinnom valley became the model picture of the eternal lake of fire.
