42:9 new things do I declare. Only God, who created time and is therefore independent of time, can predict future events with certainty. The Bible is unique in all literature, with hundreds of fulfilled prophecies, given hundreds and thousands of years before their fulfillment. This is a certain mark of divine inspiration.
